Workspace Roles
Roles on your Workspace
Every user/member of Murf Workspace will have a role assigned depending on the plan workspace is on and what the admins & editors with permissions choose to assign. Here’s a break down of type of roles you’ll see on any workspace.
Viewers
Viewers are free users who can view, share & comment on the contents of workspace, folders and projects depending on their access permissions. Viewers are not priced in your subscription plan.
- Viewers have limited access to features of Murf studio.
- Viewers can comment on projects and share their feedback with other members of the workspace.
- Available on all plans (Free, Basic, Pro & Enterprise)
- Viewers cannot create or edit folders & projects.
- Viewers cannot edit text or generate audio from text in any project.
- Viewers can invite other viewers to a workspace, folder or a project.
- Viewer restricted - Viewers who has viewing access to limited projects and folders are referred to as viewer restricted. They cannot invite / share folders or projects will anyone.
Editors
Editors can create, edit, view, share & comment on the contents of workspace, folders and projects depending on their access permissions. Editors are paid roles linked to a paid workspace plan and are priced per seat.
- Editors have full access to all features of Murf studio
- Editors can create, edit, share and view all folders & projects of a workspace depending on the plan & access permissions.
- Like viewers, Editors can comment on projects.
- Editors in Free/Basic/Pro plans can access every folder and project created on the workspace.
- Enterprise Plan : Editors in the Enterprise plan can access content shared with them explicitly. Admins on Enterprise plan can control the Editor access.
- Editors can edit text or generate audio from text in any project they have access to.
- Editors can invite other editors or viewers to the workspace or folders (in Free, basic & pro plans). Every additional editor is priced as per pricing plans.
- Enterprise Plan : Only admins can invite other editors to the workspace or folders in the enterprise plan.
- Editors can invite any number of viewers to projects they can access in all plans.
Admins
Admins are paid roles (like editors) linked to a paid workspace plan. Admins can change settings & manage members of the workspace; Can create, edit, view, share & comment on all contents of the workspace, folders and projects.
- Every workspace regardless of the plan, must have at least 1 admin. Admins have full access to all features of Murf studio.
- Admins have all the privileges of Editors and Viewers, and also can manage workspace settings (billing, access control etc.,)
- Admins can edit the roles of editors & viewers and manage Workspace and Subscription settings.
- Admins can delete workspaces, folders or projects and change the privacy of folder or project from public to private.
- Owners : Users who create a workspace, folder, subfolder or projects are defined as Owners. Owners can delete what they own anytime.
