Getting Started
Murf Studio is a cloud-based realistic text to speech platform that allows users to generate lifelike AI-based voiceovers for multiple use cases (eLearning (Authoring, LMS, etc), Youtube videos, Podcasts, Software & App demos, Marketing & Advertising, IVR phone system, Audiobooks, Games, Product & Explainer videos, Corporate Learning etc. etc). We harness AI and deep machine learning technology to generate these ultra-realistic voiceovers across a range of 120+ voices in 20+ languages.
Voiceover production has traditionally been a time-consuming and strenuous process that involves hiring a voice actor, getting a script ready, recording the voice in a studio, editing, adding music,images, or videos, and syncing them all together.
This is where Murf steps in to simplify the entire process and reduce the overall cost and time by leveraging AI technology. Murf serves as an all-in-one platform where content creators/users can not only easily convert their script into natural-sounding audio within minutes but also add images, music, and video to their voice over and sync them all in one place to create professional voice over videos.

Setting up your account
It's easy to get started. The website is fast & lightweight and provides a user-friendly interface. The first step towards creating life-like voiceovers is creating your Murf account.
Create an Account
There are three options available to create an account with Murf AI.
- Continue with a Google account
- Continue with a Facebook account
- Email address and Password
Sign in with Google
A quick way to sign up! If you are an existing or a new user, this option lets you log in to Murf using your existing Google account, the same account you already use with Gmail, Play, Photos and other Google services.
Sign in with Facebook
New or existing users can log in using their Facebook credentials.
Click on "Login to Facebook", which initiates a new tab. In the new tab hosted on the Facebook website, provide your Facebook account and password to log in to the Murf Studio.
Email ID and Password
This option is recommended if you have a work email, a non-google email, or, if you want to set a unique password for Murf login only. Here are the few quick steps:
- After entering the email address and password, click on Create Account.
Note: Before signing up, we recommend that you go through and accept Murf's privacy policy and terms of service. - It is recommended to use passwords of at least eight (8) characters or more (longer is better) for passwords. This may include a combination of uppercase letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special characters to make it more secure. However, this is not mandatory for setting a password.
- Murf AI will send a verification email to your registered email address. Click on the link provided in the email to verify your email address.
Did you not get the verification email?
If the verification email has not been sent, it could be due to the following reasons:
- Spam: Sometimes, company firewalls or email service providers may block emails from unrecognised platforms. Kindly check your Spam folder and move the email to your primary inbox to ensure future emails from Murf AI are not sent to spam.
To resend the verification email, click on the top right 'Studio' icon on the Home Page. - Incorrect Email ID: In such cases, start the signup process from the beginning and enter your correct email address.
OR
Reach out to us via chat or email, and we will have the incorrect ID verified from our end. Once it has been verified, kindly head to Profile Settings, and update the incorrect email ID.

Once your account has been created, you can now explore Murf studio and its offerings using your free trial.
NOTE: Murf Inc is restricted from providing services for users in the sanctioned list of counties under the OFAC sanction program of the USA including but not restricted to the Balkans, Belarus, Burma, Cote D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and Zimbabwe.
If you are trying to access Murf from any of these countries, we are afraid that we are not serviceable in your location at the moment. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused due to this. We will make sure to keep you posted if there are any changes in the policy in the future and new locations become serviceable for us.
Signing In
Sign In with Google
A quick way to sign in! If you are an existing or a new user, this option lets you log in to Murf using your Google account.
Note:
Previously created an account with Murf?
Use this option if the email address used is the same as your Google email address.
Sign in with Facebook
New or existing users can log in using their Facebook credentials.
Click on "Login to Facebook", which initiates a new tab. In the new tab hosted on the Facebook website, provide your Facebook account and password to log in to the Murf Studio.
Sign in with your Email ID and Password
Sign in using the same credentials used at the time of sign up.
Log in with Enterprise SSO
If you're on an Enterprise account, your company users can also sign in using the single sign-on (SSO).
Forgot password
Click on Forgot password and type in the email address associated with your Murf account and we'll send you a link to reset your password.
Free Trial
Explore and test all the voices and premium features of the Studio! All first-time users/signups are automatically assigned a Free trial of Murf Studio.
What features does the Free trial offer?
Features of the free trial:
- Access all 120+ voices
- No downloads included
- 10 mins of voice generation time
- 10 mins of transcription
- Share link for audio/video output
- Single User
- No credit card required
Note: The Free Trial does not support downloads. However, clicking on the 'Share' option in the Studio will create a system-generated link that allows users to share the output file with others.
Do I have to Sign-up to try Murf?
Yes, creating an account helps the system attribute the Project Settings or Workspace to you when trying Murf. Signing up is easy and safeguards the possibility of losing data.
How long will the Free Trial last?
The Free Trial comes with 10 minutes of voice generation time. However, there is no validity or end date to the free trial. The trial will expire once the entire 10 minutes of voice generation and transcription time have been exhausted.
Voice Generation Time (VGT)
How is voice generation time (VGT) calculated?
Voice generation time is calculated as the sum of generated speech length of every text block.
When does it get consumed?
VGT is consumed every time you render a newly created text block or modify text in an existing text block using any of the three generate options available in the Studio (Block and sub-block Level, Project Level [Build button]). The time consumed would be the duration of the text being rendered.
